232 Residents on Untung Island Receive Food Assistance

Around 232 beneficiary families (KPM) on Untung Jawa Island, South Seribu Islands, Seribu Islands received non-cash food assistance in the form of rice from the Social Ministry (Kemensos).

Recipients of this assistance are for underprivileged residents

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supriyadi said the assistance distribution had been determined and supervised by Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) and Seribu Islands Social Sub-agency. In this assistance, each family received 20 kg of rice produced by Bulog.

"Recipients of this assistance are for underprivileged residents. This is a central government program, thus the sender is PT Pos Indonesia," he expressed, Wednesday (5/17).

This May, residents received assistance in two stages with a total of 20 kg of rice received. It is expected to benefit the community because it can reduce the expenditure burden.

"We make sure this assistance is on target. To this day, we still share," he stated

Rodiah (57), a resident of RT 03/03, Untung Jawa Island admitted this assistance was very helpful to meet food needs for the next few months.

"To receive it, I only need to bring a photocopy of ID card and family card. Thank you to the government for providing this assistance," he closed.
